Coworking with childcare, on a schedule we're upfront about.

Book the 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Focus Room session and drop your child in childcare at the same time. Our drop-off childcare runs 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, so those days the two schedules line up completely — the full 3-hour session, uninterrupted. On Wednesday, childcare ends at noon, so only the first two hours of the session are covered; your child joins you for the last hour, or you wrap up early. Crawlers are welcome during the 11:00 AM hour only.

The 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM afternoon session has no drop-off childcare paired with it on any day. (Parent & Child Open Gym runs 1–5 PM, but that's a session you attend together, not a way to work — so it doesn't cover this session either.) If you need care while you work, the morning session is the one to book.

You can pay per session — Focus Room drop-in is $30, with a $108 4-pack or $200 8-pack for regulars, and childcare is booked and paid separately — or use the 50-hour childcare bundle, which includes Focus Room access. Either way, this is what coworking with childcare looks like at The Lullabar: honest hours, no guesswork.

Do I need a membership?

No. You can book a single drop-in session anytime — no membership, no contract. If you come regularly, save with our 4-pack ($27/session) or 8-pack ($25/session).

How long are the sessions?

All sessions are 3 hours. Choose Morning (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM) or Afternoon (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM), Monday through Friday.

Is there WiFi?

Yes, free high-speed WiFi is included with every session.

Can I take phone or video calls?

Headphones are recommended. The Focus Room is a shared quiet workspace, so we ask that calls be taken at a low volume or with headphones to respect other guests.

Is there coffee and food?

Yes. La Colombe specialty coffee, espresso drinks, matcha, and pastries are available at our café steps away. Order anytime during your session and bring it into the Focus Room.

How far are you from the hotels?

About 5 minutes by car from Park Hyatt Aviara and Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, and about 10 minutes from Alila Marea Beach Resort.

Where exactly are you?

Beacon La Costa, the same complex as Equinox. 7750 El Camino Real, Suite M, Carlsbad, CA 92009. Free parking on-site. Near Encinitas, La Costa, and all of North County San Diego.

Can I use the Focus Room while my child is in childcare?

Yes — on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, for the full session. Book the 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Focus Room session and drop your child in childcare at the same time — childcare runs 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM those four days, so it covers the entire 3-hour session. On Wednesday, childcare ends at noon, so only the first two hours are covered and your child joins you for the last hour (or you can wrap up early). The 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM afternoon session doesn't have childcare paired with it on any day.

Is Focus Room access included with a childcare bundle?
