Val C., Lead Child Monitor

Hello, my name is Val!

I bring over 10 years of experience as a child development teacher. Personally, I believe that children learn through play, and responding to their interests nurtures their whole being. I adopt a very holistic approach to education, encompassing the nurturing of their minds, curiosity, and creativity.

After working in a classroom setting for so long and also as a nanny, working at The Lullabar is the perfect middle point for me. I love the intention of supporting parents in their day-to-day lives, providing them with a safe space for their little ones while they have time for themselves.

With children, I enjoy engaging in arts and crafts, reading books to them, and igniting their creativity.

In my personal spare time, I find joy in gardening, taking sunset walks with my dog, traveling, cooking, and constantly learning new things.

Sophia O., Child Monitor

Hello, my name is Sophia, and I’m thrilled to be a part of The Lullabar team!

I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Speech Pathology.

I’ve worked with kids ranging from 6 months to 12 years at an at-home daycare and through interning at a local preschool!

I love working with children because of how exciting and unpredictable it is. Each child brings a unique personality into the space, ensuring a new experience every time. Additionally, I enjoy witnessing children reach developmental milestones.

I wanted to be a part of The Lullabar team because of how rewarding the job is. After learning about the concept and its mission, I knew I had to be involved. I can leave each shift knowing I’ve made a mom’s day a little bit easier.

My favorite activity to do with children is pretend play. Whether it’s grocery shopping or being a construction worker, I can see their imagination run wild.

In my spare time, I enjoy taking my dog on beach walks, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.

Isabel L., Child Monitor

Hello, my name is Isabel! I bring over 5 years of experience working in childcare centers and have served as a nanny for multiple families over the years. I recently graduated from SDSU with a B.S. in Child and Family Development.

I was drawn to The Lullabar because of its unique concept, and I wanted to be a part of helping caregivers. One aspect I love most about working with children is witnessing their joy and curiosity. Everything is so new to them, and it’s a beautiful thing to go on the journey of exploration with them. I enjoy watching them learn and hearing their explanations and stories.

When I’m not working at The Lullabar, I am nannying an amazing one-year-old, spending time with my partner and our rescue pitbull, and always seeking out new adventures.

Ariana R., Child Monitor

Hi, my name is Ariana!

I have been working with children for over 10 years. I enjoy working with kids of all ages, having worked with children ranging from 6 months to 18 years old. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in child development.

I love working with small children because it provides an opportunity to watch them grow and develop into confident, self-sufficient learners. Getting to know the children’s mannerisms and interests is something I truly enjoy. Seeing things from their perspective makes me a happier and more positive person in my day-to-day life.

I wanted to work at The Lullabar because I love the idea of a wellness cafe and creating a safe place for everyone to experience self-care. It’s a warm and welcoming environment where they strive to create a memorable experience.

My favorite activities with the kids include doing crafts and reading books with them!

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, and going to Disneyland!

It’s time for you!
