About the Speakers:
Ellie Messinger-Adams (LPCC) is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) dedicated to helping moms through the craziness, chaos, and beauty that comes with #momlife. I received my master’s degree in counselor education from Western Michigan University; completed specific training from Postpartum Support International in providing therapy for mamas with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADS); and completed level 1 training from the TheraPlay Institute. With over 10 years of experience working with moms and their families both in private practice and school settings, I have had the opportunity to see moms throughout the spectrum of #momlife challenges. I blend client-centered and humanistic practices along with somatic and body-based therapies to address the mind, body, and spirit of my clients while reaching each person in the way in which they best respond. As a therapist specializing in working with moms, I recognize the unique and diverse challenges and demands you face. At ēma therapy, I take a client-centered, holistic approach to therapy to address the interconnectedness of your mind, body, and soul because I believe that true healing and growth occur when all aspects of our being feel integrated and grounded.
